Winters are just around the corner and it is almost that time of the year again when we coffee lovers and lay people alike start enjoying those hot and cold cups of Coffee again. But the question always arises, what is the best instant coffee? As not everyone can not afford to have a coffee maker that makes delicious cups of coffee, instant coffee is much more convenient and feasible. With the improvements in manufacturing processes and technology, instant coffee has gained much popularity as the quality has increased drastically over the years. 1-Twin Peaks’ original Pour over
Twin Peaks makes a ridiculously good pour-over instant coffee. The blend isn’t that strong but it’s very dense and is extremely convenient as it takes mere seconds for it to brew. For how easy it is to make, this is one of the best ones out there. While it might not be as aromatic and well-balanced as Colcafe Classic, it still has a toasty essence to it which gives it this warmth people generally associate with a mug of Coffee.
2-Cafe Bustelo
The thing I like about this Coffee is that it’s not bitter, making it as enjoyable as black coffee as well, even for the type of people who consume instant coffee. While not surprisingly strong, it has a very silky texture and does make some frothy coffee if you know what you’re doing and when it comes to quality the reviews don’t lie. At $6.99 this is the best value of the bunch in my opinion.
3-Verve Coffee roasters
Priced at $17 on Amazon, this is yet another surprisingly good instant coffee. In the street level { medium roast } form, it tastes sweet with almost no bitterness and a frothy texture. It tastes fresh almost like freshly brewed coffee and has a unique earthy, deep, and rich flavor to it.
4-Mount Hagen Instant Coffee
Mount Hagen instant coffee is one of the best and most readily available options at the moment as it provides a medium roast with a special focus on smoothness because it has an extremely silky smooth texture with just a hint of bitterness. It can easily be found in stores near you although It doesn’t however, contain as much aroma as I expected.
5-Lavazza instant Coffee
Lavazza is a staple in Coffee brands. Its Americano is pretty much the closest you can get to actual espresso Americano with instant coffee and with good reason. It is not too strong and has a classic aftertaste with very little bitterness although if you’re going in for a unique experience it may leave you wanting for more. At $23.99 for 95g on Amazon, it’s relatively good value too.
